In-Patient Unit

Over the four years that we have been providing these services to patients mainly at their homes, we have identified a huge need for a place to admit patients when home is either absent or not an ideal option - a dignified, friendly and worthy place where patients can receive professional palliative care and family members can visit as often as they want, or stay for as long as they want to - whilst receiving the emotional support they need. We have finally found such a place at Siesta Retirement Home, Dan Pienaar in Bloemfontein, that could offer all that is needed - and we have transformed these rooms into a space that we would like to offer to our patients and their loved ones. These rooms will mainly be used for:pain- and symptom control, respite for family members; active end-of-life care; as well as a centre of palliative care training.
